2019 Bennetts British Superbikes – Round 3 – Donington Park

The late May Bank Holiday weekend saw the Bennetts British Superbike paddock take the trip to Donington Park for round three of the 2019 season and it was another great weekend for our R&G-supported riders and teams.

Tommy Bridewell and the Moto Rapido Ducati squad continue their assault on the 2019 Superbike title, taking two podium places on Sunday to sit second overall in the Championship standings. With Ben Currie out through injury, the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team drafted in MotoGP star Hector Barbera to deputise on the R&G-protected ZX-10RR, with the Spaniard impressing everyone with a run of top ten finishes.

The Aero Knee Slider-sporting Brad Jones took another pair of Dickies British Supersport podium, where GP2 rider Thomas Strudwick also took his first podium of the season. In the Pirelli Superstock 1000 class, Eemeli Lahti continued to get to grips with the 1000cc machine, taking a brace of fourth places whilst fellow rookie Graeme Irwin secured his maiden championship point with a 15th place finish in Sunday’s race. In the Dickies British Junior Supersport class, Brody Crockford also took his first podium of the year with second place in the final race.
