Bumper Season for R&G in Bennetts BSB

The 2024 Bennetts British Superbike Championship will be remembered for that incredible last-lap battle for the crown between Kyle Ryde and Tommy Bridewell. For us here at R&G, it was another fantastic year as an official partner, our tenth consecutive year supporting the world’s most competitive domestic race series.

Visitors to any of the 11 rounds or Official Tests would have undoubtedly seen our R&G Technical Centre in the heart of the paddock. Having become an essential part of the travelling circus, the Technical Centre provides race teams and riders across the paddock with not only R&G products such as our Engine Case Covers, Aero Crash Protectors and Radiator Guards, but also the essential racing equipment and accessories needed to keep them on track.

As always, this year saw us supporting countless riders and teams directly with our proven range of crash protection. In the premier class, it was one of our strongest years to date, with the likes of Danny Kent, Christian Iddon, Lee Jackson, Charlie Nesbitt and Storm Stacey securing an impressive seven wins and over 20 podiums between them. A special shout-out also goes to Lewis Rollo, who was crowned the 2024 R&G Rising Stars winner.

Of course, anyone who has followed the R&G story over the past 25 years will know that our ethos has always been on supporting grassroots racing and the stars of tomorrow. That’s why our support doesn’t end in the blue-riband class, and our products are utilised in every class.

In the Supersport category, Ben Curie narrowly missed out on claiming back-to-back titles, finishing the year third with two wins and 12 podiums. 2024 also marked the final year of racing for Gearlink Kawasaki, a team we have had a very long and successful relationship, so we’d like to wish them the best of luck in whatever the future holds!

Joe Talbot had a phenomenal season in the National Superstock category, bringing the title to the final round and claiming two wins and nine podiums in this highly competitive class.

R&G is also proud to have been a major sponsor of the BMW F 900 R Cup, which saw Thomas Strudwick secure a dominant title win, and the R&G British Talent Cup, which saw Lucas Brown crowned a very worthwhile Champion. Visitors to Motorcycle Live would have seen us join World Superbike Champion Toprak Razgatlıoğlu on the BMW Motorrad UK stand for a special prize presentation for this year’s winners.

While it may only have been a few weeks since that incredible season finale, our attention is firmly on the 2025 season. We’ll be back once again as an official partner to the series, while we might even have a bigger and better Technical Centre…

We’re also finalising the many teams and riders we’ll be working with for next season, but we’re excited to confirm we’ll be remaining with the Moto Rapido team, who recently announced Ben Currie in the Supersport class and former BSB Champion Leon Haslam in the Superbike category.

Make sure you stay tuned over the coming weeks and months as we announce more of our 2025 plans!
