Those of you following the R&G Facebook, Instagram or X pages over the Christmas holidays would have seen us ask you what was on your 2025 biking bucket list. We had a fantastic response from seasoned bikers and newbies alike, so as the new year gets underway, here are your top 5 bucket list things every motorcyclist should explore this year…
By far the most popular response was getting out on a trackday. There’s no better way to explore the full potential of your bike and enhance your riding skills than in a safe, controlled environment. With no speed limits, you’ll be able to enjoy the exhilaration that only two wheels can provide!
If you want to make 2025 the year you lower your lap times and improve your bike control, then we recommend exploring tuition from the likes of California Superbike School or the Yamaha Track Experience. We partner with both schools and have ridden with them ourselves, so we can vouch for just how effective they are.
No matter whether you’re a trackday specialist or this will be your first time on track, it’s vital that your bike is equipped with the best protection. Lever Guards are mandatory on all UK trackdays now, but you should also consider adding Engine Case Covers, Crash Protectors, Fork Protectors and Swingarm Protectors to keep your pride and joy safe should the worst happen!
Just behind a trackday was exploring more. Many of you wanted to make 2025 the year you rack up the miles and visit new places on your bike. Whether it was touring through Europe and riding the incredible mountain passes of the Alps, riding Route 66 on a Harley-Davidson, or staying a little closer to home and completing the stunning North Coast 500 in Scotland, the possibilities are endless!
If you’re heading out on an adventure in 2025, our R&G range can help make your next trip a little safer and comfier. The Denali Lighting range is essential to ensure you can not only see on those dark nights but also other road users can see you. The R&G-distributed Garmin Navigation system will make sure you never get lost, while the Wild Ass Air Cushions will make a numb bum after hours in the saddle a thing of the past.
There are fewer things in life more exciting than a new bike, so why not make 2025 the year you treat yourself? Whether it’s a new BMW S 1000 R Sport, the Honda NC750X, KTM’s 390 Adventure R, Kawasaki’s all-new Ninja 1100SX, Yamaha R9 or the Ducati Multistrada V2, there’s no shortage of new machines arriving in dealers soon.
You’ll want to make sure your new bike is protected, and we’re constantly expanding our range to include the latest machines on the market. MCN recently came to visit us to find out a little more about how we are able to create our products so quickly.
Racing has always been in our blood here at R&G, and we’re proud that our products are utilised in race paddocks around the world. Last year’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship finale will be remembered for years as one of the most thrilling races of all time, and this year’s series looks to be just as hotly contested. Alongside protecting many of the leading riders and teams, you’ll also be able to find the R&G Technical Centre in the heart of the paddock at every round.
One race event that should be on every bike fan’s bucket list is the legendary Isle of Man TT. Seeing the world’s best Road Racers scream by just inches away from you at 200mph is something you’ll never forget!
Finally, a lot of you wanted to take part in more two-wheel events. Motorcycling is one giant community and getting together with like-minded bikers at events like the legendary European Bike Week, shows like Motorcycle Live, or festivals like ABR, should be something everyone does at least once.
As keen bikers ourselves, our team are often at a lot of these events themselves, but we’re usually found at a lot of the big UK events officially, too. Our next show is the London Motorcycle Show, so if you’re heading along, come and say hello!
Whatever you get up to in 2025, we hope you have an incredible year!
