Just One To Go…
After ten action-packed rounds of racing, the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship has just one more round to go. Before we take a look at how our many R&G riders and teams got on at Donington Park last weekend, we want to first wish a very speedy recovery to Chrissy Rouse. Chrissy sustained serious injuries in the final Superbike race of the weekend, and all of our thoughts are with his friends, family and team.
In the Superbike class, Tommy Bridewell was able to secure three top ten finishes, but with Bradley Ray taking a fourth, second and a victory, he has slipped to 66 points behind, with just 75 points remaining up for grabs. However, we all know that anything can happen in BSB, so we can’t wait to see what happens next weekend!
In the British Supersport class, Tom Booth-Amos made his debut with the Gearlink Kawasaki team in fine style, taking pole position and two fourth places. Meanwhile, in the Pirelli National Junior Superstock class, 2022 Champion Max Cook rounded out his incredible season with another victory.
The R&G-supported Honda British Talent Cup came to a conclusion at Donington Park, with R&G-protected rider Evan Belford taking a double win.
With just one round remaining, the 2022 R&G Rookies’ Trophy is almost finalised. This year, the top rookie in each Championship class will be put to a panel of judges, who will decide their overall top three. The current top rookie in each Championship class is as follows:
