2022 Comes To A Close
Six months and 11 action-packed rounds later, the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship has come to a close! It has been an incredible season of highs and lows, and we want to say a huge thank you to all of the riders, teams and customers who stopped by the R&G Technical Centre this year. 2022 was our eighth consecutive year as an Official Sponsor of the series, and we are already turning our attention toward 2023, where we will be coming back even bigger and better!
In the British Superbike class, Tommy Bridewell and the R&G-protected Oxford Products Racing Moto Rapido Ducati team were able to secure third overall in the title standings at Brands Hatch - an incredible result for all involved.
The Pirelli National Junior Superstock class saw further podium trophies collected for our R&G-supported riders, as Sam Laffins and Lewis Jones took a second-place finish each. Our 2022 Champion Max Cook stepped up to the Supersport class at Brands Hatch on a beautifully designed Carl Cox Motorsport/Uggly & Co Yamaha R6, with the youngster putting on a fantastic display on his debut.
Brands Hatch also marked the last-ever Ducati TriOptions Cup race. We have been a long-time supporter of the series, and for the past four seasons, we have provided cash and product prizes as part of the R&G Ducati Shield. Coming down to the final round, it was Mark Bridger who eventually claimed the Shield for 2022, so a big congratulations to him.
Finalists for the 2022 R&G Rookies’ Trophy have also been decided, with the below seven riders now being out to a panel of expert judges who will determine the overall top three.
