Bridewell Sets Sight On Title As Showdown Ignites!
The 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Showdown ignited over the weekend in one of the most action-packed and dramatic rounds in BSB history. Before we take a look at how our R&G-supported riders and teams got on, we would firstly like to wish a very speedy recovery to Tarran Mackenzie, Rory Skinner and Christian Iddon.
As for the Showdown, Tommy Bridewell and the R&G-protected Oxford Products Racing Moto Rapido Ducati squad have firmly set their sights on the title after a fantastic podium haul. Having finished runner-up in the opening two races, Tommy went on to take his first victory of the season in race three, to move within 40 points of the Championship, with 150 points still available across Donington Park and Brands Hatch.
Of course, it’s not just about podiums, and it was great to see fellow R&G riders Storm Stacey and Dean Harrison enjoy one of their strongest BSB weekends of the season to date at Oulton Park!
Elsewhere, Charlie Nesbitt continued his impressive late-season form in the Pirelli National Superstock class, taking another podium in third place. In the Pirelli National Junior Superstock class, Max Cook and the Binch Racing Yamaha squad were able to secure the 2022 title in fine style with an incredible double victory, so a huge congratulations to them.
With just two rounds remaining, the 2022 R&G Rookies’ Trophy is beginning to take shape. This year, the top rookie in each Championship class will be put to a panel of judges, who will decide their overall top three. The current top rookie in each Championship class is as follows:
