Party In The Park As R&G Riders Climb Oulton Park Podium

The second round of the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park proved a rollercoaster of a weekend, but the thousands of fans trackside were treated to an incredible selection of races.

The undulating Cheshire circuit proved a happy hunting ground for our many R&G riders and teams. In the blue-riband Superbike class, Tommy Bridewell kick-started his 2022 campaign with a strong second place in the final race of the weekend, while Storm Stacey took his first points of the season with a 14th and 12th.

In the British Supersport class, Gearlink Kawasaki newcomer Luke Stapleford wasted no time in getting to grips with his ZX-6R, taking a pair of 5th places just ahead of his teammate Zac Corderoy. Fellow Kawasaki rider and class rookie Eugene McManus took his first points with a solid ride to seventh in the opening race. This impressive performance saw Eugene named our R&G Rookie of the Meeting for Oulton Park, meaning he’ll now receive one of our Garage Mats as a reward.

It was a dominant weekend for the R&G-protected Binch Racing Yamaha of Max Cook, who took both race wins in the Pirelli National Junior Superstock class, being joined on the podium by Sam Laffins and Dan Brookes in race one and two respectively.
