Mixed Fortunes For R&G Riders At Donington Park
The iconic Donington Park circuit played host to round three of the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, and it was incredible to see thousands of fans packing the banking around the track throughout the weekend.
It was a mixed weekend for our many R&G riders and teams, with plenty of highs and lows. In the Superbike class, Tommy Bridewell was unable to match his pace from Oulton Park and was disappointed to leave with just one point-scoring ride. It was a better weekend for the GR Motosport team, though, as Storm Stacey found himself back in the points.
In the British Supersport class, Luke Stapleford continued to get to grips with the Gearlink Kawasaki, scoring two strong finishes. Equally as impressive were Jamie Perrin and Eugene McManus, who both had their best weekends of the season. It was a similar story in the National Superstock class, with Joe Francis, Joe Talbot and Charlie Nesbitt all taking their biggest points haul of the year to date.
Max Cook continued his dominant form in the Pirelli National Junior class, taking the victory to make it three wins from three races. Joining him on the podium was Dan Brooks, who claimed second.
After enjoying his best results of the season so far, Charlie Nesbitt is our R&G Rookie of the Meeting for Donington Park and will receive his prize next time out at Knockhill.
