PACKED CROWDS RETURN TO BRANDS HATCH!
This weekend’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship round saw an unlimited number of fans trackside, and it was great to see packed bankings once again! The thousands of visitors lining the Brands Hatch circuit were treated to some fantastic racing across every class in the paddock.
The many R&G-supported riders put on a fantastic show and left the iconic circuit with plenty of silverware! In the Superbike class, Moto Rapido Ducati’s Tommy Bridewell made a welcome return to the podium with a pair of second places.
In the Quattro Group British Supersport class, rookie rider Eunan McGlinchey had an incredible weekend, taking his maiden podiums with a pair of third places. Meanwhile, in the Pirelli National Superstock class and the Ducati TriOptions Cup, wins came at the hands of Luke Mossey and Josh Day, and it was great to see John McGuinness taking his maiden Ducati podium on Sunday.
Following a serious incident in the opening race on Saturday, everyone at R&G is sending their thoughts to Brad Jones and his friends and family.
2021 R&G Rookies’ Trophy
Open to all riders making the step up to compete in their first full season in any Championship class, the 2021 R&G Rookies’ Trophy is beginning to heat up. The top two rookie riders in each class at the end of the season will be out in front of a panel of industry experts, who will choose their overall top three. These three winners will receive a host of prizes from R&G, Pirelli, LS2 Crash Helmets and WD-40, to support them in their next racing steps.
Each round, R&G will also select one rider to be their Rookie of the Meeting and after claiming his maiden podiums in the Supersport class, Gearlink Kawasaki’s Eunan McGlinchey is our Rookie of the Meeting for Brands Hatch.
