Scottish Success for R&G!
For the first time since 2019, the Bennetts British Superbike Championship headed north of the border to Knockhill, and despite the shortened race weekend it proved a successful trip for our R&G-supported riders and teams!
In the Superbike class, Tommy Bridewell enjoyed three top ten finishes to further secure his position in the all-important top eight Showdown contenders. In the Pirelli National Superstock class, GR Motosport’s Chrissy Rouse made a welcome return to the podium with a pair of third place finishes aboard the Ninja ZX-10RR. However, it was in the Honda British Talent Cup where most success was found, with young Evan Belford taking two dominant victories ahead of fellow R&G-supported rider Johnny Garness.
The Championship now heads to Brands Hatch next week, where for the first time an unlimited amount of fans will be allowed back trackside!
2021 R&G Rookies’ Trophy
Open to all riders making the step up to compete in their first full season in any Championship class, the 2021 R&G Rookies’ Trophy is beginning to heat up. The top two rookie riders in each class at the end of the season will be out in front of a panel of industry experts, who will choose their overall top three. These three winners will receive a host of prizes from R&G, Pirelli, LS2 Crash Helmets and WD-40, to support them in their next racing steps.
Each round, R&G will also select one rider to be their Rookie of the Meeting, and fresh from taking his maiden Superbike podiums in only his second meeting, the Knockhill winner was FS-3 Racing’s Rory Skinner.
