2019 Bennetts British Superbikes – Round 10 - Assen
It was a weekend of highs and lows for our R&G-supported riders and teams when the paddock made their annual trip to mainland Europe for the opening round of the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship Showdown.
In the Superbike class, disaster struck the Oxford Racing Moto Rapido squad when Tommy Bridewell crashed out of a podium position. Luckily his Ducati was undamaged and the Title Fighter was able to bounce back later in the afternoon with a strong second place. 
With only a couple of the support classes making the trip over, the Supersport category saw some epic battles and it was great to see R&G-supported Rory Skinner take his best results of the season so far with a brace of fourth places. Mason Law continued his impressive run of podium finishes on the GP2 machine with another pair of second places.
In the Hel Performance British Motostar class, Asher Durham kept his title fight alive with third place in the second outing whilst in the Standard class Scott Ogden kept his lead at the top of the table with two second place finishes.
In the Ducati Cup class, we would like to say a massive congratulation to David Shoubridge, who has taken the inaugural R&G Ducati Shield with one round to go!
Next up, the series returns to Donington Park for the penultimate round of the season!
R&G Rookies Trophy
The 2019 R&G Rookies’ Trophy sees the top two rookies in each Championship class at the end of the season put forward to a panel of judges, who’ll then pick the top three overall to receive a host of prizes from R&G, Pirelli and LS2 crash helmets.
With just two rounds remaining until the end of the season, things are beginning to firm up. The current standings in each class are as follows;
