2018 Bennetts British Superbike Championship – Round 11 – Assen

JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam has placed one hand on the 2018 Bennetts British Superbike Championship crown following a dominant double at Assen. The R&G protected rider took full advantage of title rival Jake Dixon’s misfortunate to extend his lead; needing just 14 points at Brand Hatch to secure his (and our!) first BSB Championship.

The Dutch circuit proved a successful hunting ground for a number of our other R&G-supported riders and teams. Elsewhere in the Superbike class, despite a huge crash in practice Tommy Bridewell powered his Moto Rapido Ducati to sixth in the opening race before being caught up in an accident in race two whilst Silicone Engineering Racing’s Dean Harrison secured his career best finish of 12th in race two.

In the Dickies British Supersport class, Ben Currie enjoyed a podium finish in the Feature race whilst in the Ducati Performance TriOptions Cup 2018 Champion Rob Guiver rounded out his season with a double victory ahead of fellow R&G rider Levi Day.

2018 R&G Rookies’ Trophy – Round 11 – Assen

With just one round remaining, the nominees for the 2018 R&G Rookies’ Trophy are beginning to be finalised as the top two rookies in each Championship class at the end of the season will be put forward to a panel of judges, who’ll then pick the top three overall to receive a host of prizes from R&G, Pirelli and LS2 crash helmets.

Assen again saw an incredible weekend for Tarran Mackenzie who continues to defy his rookie status to continue to challenge for race victories and podiums. The leading two rookie riders in each class ahead of the final round are as follows;
