Title Challenge Begins As BSB Reaches Showdown
After a sombre weekend at Snetterton, the Bennetts British Superbike Championship has reached the critical point of the season, with the eight title fighters now confirmed for the all-important Showdown.
Everyone at R&G would like to say a huge congratulations to our supported team, Oxford Products Racing Moto Rapido team and Tommy Bridewell, who will now be looking to fight for the 2023 crown.
Of course, as the season edges towards the finale, lots of the supporting classes are also beginning to be decided. In the R&G-supported Honda British Talent Cup, it was amazing to crown young Johnny Garness the 2022 Champion after two dominant wins. He has been an incredible rider all season and is sure to go on to be one of the UK’s brightest hopes. Equally as impressive was fellow R&G rider Harrison Crosby, who took a well-earned podium in the second race.
R&G also supports the 2022 Ducati TriOptions Cup, and another double victory from David Shoubridge has seen him put one hand on the title with a 23-point lead at the top of the standings, with just four races remaining.
It is a similar story in the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship, as another win from R&G-supported rider, Max Cook extends his lead to 63 points with just five races remaining. Joining Max on the podium at Snetterton was Dan Brooks.
As for the 2022 R&G Rookies’ Trophy, the top rookie in each class is currently:
