Just one to go…
The 2021 Bennetts British Superbike Championship reached the penultimate round of the weekend, and the drama continued to unfold across the paddock. In the Superbike class, there was action aplenty as the wet weather saw three incredible races. Young Storm Stacey was able to shine on his GR Motosport Kawasaki, while Tommy Bridewell overcame a crash on Saturday to remain just 21 points behind going into the final round!
In the Quattro Group British Supersport class, Ben Currie also bounced back from a crash on the Saturday to secure another podium, heading into Brands Hatch 31 points behind with 50 still up for grabs! Further trophies came in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class, with Zak Corderoy securing victory.
The R&G-supported Honda British Talent Cup series came to a close at Donington Park, and an incredible double victory from Casey O’Gorman saw him secure the title by just six points! We’ve really enjoyed supporting the series again for 2021, and a huge congratulations to all of our sponsored riders – including Casey, Carter Brown and Evan Belford, who finished first, second and third overall.
2021 R&G Rookies’ Trophy
Donington provide an action-packed weekend, but overcoming the tricky conditions in the British Supersport class, Jamie van Sikkelerus is our R&G Rookie of the Meeting!
Open to all riders making the step up to compete in their first full season in any Championship class, the 2021 R&G Rookies’ Trophy is beginning to heat up. The top two rookie riders in each class at the end of the season will be out in front of a panel of industry experts, who will choose their overall top three. These three winners will receive a host of prizes from R&G, Pirelli, LS2 Crash Helmets and WD-40, to support them in their next racing steps.
