2019 Bennetts British Superbikes – Round 5 – Knockhill
Round five of the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship saw the riders head north of the border to the Knockhill circuit in Scotland. Despite the weather doing its best to dampen everyone’s spirit, the paddock put on a fantastic display of racing for the thousands of fans packing the banking.
Once again, Tommy Bridewell on the Oxford Racing Ducati flew the R&G flag in the blue-riband Superbike class as he took another podium with third place in the second race. Also enjoying the taste of champagne was Mason Law, who took a brace of podiums in the Dickies British GP2 class whilst rookie rider Eunan McGlinchey claimed victory in the Superstock 600 class to extend his lead at the top of the standings.
R&G Rookies Trophy
Once again, the 2019 R&G Rookies’ Trophy sees the top two rookies in each Championship class at the end of the season be put forward to a panel of judges, who’ll then pick the top three overall to receive a host of prizes from R&G, Pirelli and LS2 crash helmets.
After an action-packed weekend at Knockhill, the current top two in each class are as follows;
