Bumper haul at Brands Hatch!

The annual ‘Big Brands Bash’ summer party proved a spectacular weekend of racing across the Bennetts British Superbike Championship paddock, with fans trackside and at home being treated to some incredible action. For our many R&G-protected riders and teams, it proved to be their most successful weekend yet, with wins and podiums coming from almost every class.

In the BSB class, the highlight proved to be Christian Iddon taking his first podium aboard the Oxford Racing Moto Rapido Racing Ducati in the weekend's opening race. Having shown the pace all season, it was a deserved moment for the long-time R&G-supported squad… and his speed was proven again on Sunday when he claimed another podium in race two before narrowly missing out again in race three.

The Moto Rapido team continued that form in the British Supersport class, with Ben Currie claiming a pair of second places to extend his Championship lead. Joining him on the podium in race one was Zak Corderoy, who claimed third, while Gearlink Kawasaki teammate Tom Booth-Amos claimed the final rostrum spot in race three.

Further podium success came in the National Superstock class, with Joe Talbot securing second in race one, while in the Junior Supersport class, Lewis Jones took both race wins. With Finn Smart-Weedon and Lennon Docherty joining Lewis on the podium in race two, it marked an R&G clean sweep!

The two R&G-sponsored one-make classes proved to be some of the most exciting races of the weekend. In the R&G Honda British Talent Cup, Sullivan Mounsey and Evan Belford shared the victories, while Harley McCabe and Alexander Rowan also climbed the podium across the two races. Richard Cooper continued to dominate in the BMW F 900 R Cup, but he was again pushed close by youngster Thomas Strudwick, who took another second-place finish, while Barry Burrel finished third.
