Donington Delight As R&G Riders Score Big!
Round three of the 2023 Bennetts British Superbike Championship proved a successful weekend for our many R&G riders and teams across the paddock, with wins, podiums and season-best results posted across every class!
In the Superbike class, Storm Stacey, Christian Iddon, Charlie Nesbitt and Josh Owens all enjoyed their best results of the season in what proved to be some of the best racing of the year to date. A shout out to Iddon in particular, who secured fifth place despite being very sick on Sunday! Things are heating up in the R&G Rising Stars category, with Charlie Nesbitt leading Bradley Perrie by just two points, while Tim Neave is only a further point behind in third.
In the Supersport class, Gearlink Kawasaki’s Tom Booth-Amos claimed a dominant win in the feature race on Sunday, taking the series lead in the process, while teammate Zak Corderoy claimed his best result of the season so far. Fellow R&G-protected rider Ben Currie made it a 1-2, taking second place on Sunday.
In the R&G Honda British Talent Cup, Sullivan Mounsey and Harrison Desoy shared the wins, while Evan Belford, Lucas Brown and Harley McCabe all took podium finishes. In the Championship standings, Belford now leads ahead of Dessoy and McCabe.
Further R&G success came in the Junior class, with Ed Best taking victory in the Junior Superstock race ahead of Sam Laffins, while Lewis Jones doubled up on wins in the Junior Supersport class, with Finn Smart-Weedon taking third in race one.
