2019 Bennetts British Superbikes – Round 7 – Thruxton

Our ‘home’ circuit played host to the seventh round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship last weekend and we thought we would celebrate our 20th anniversary with a special event on the Friday evening. Taking over the Bennetts Hub in the paddock, BSB legend Fred Clarke compered the evening which saw a whole host of R&G-protected riders stop by for a Q&A before meeting fans and signing autographs. We’d like to say a massive thank you to all the riders who came along and to everyone who helped make it a fantastic evening!

Back on track, the fastest circuit on the calendar didn’t faze our riders and teams as they battled for podium success. In the Dickies British Supersport class, Mason Law continued his impressive form in the GP2 category by taking second place in the main Feature race whilst fresh from appearing at our event on Friday, Asher Durham took victory in Saturday’s opening Hel Performance British Motostar race, before doubling up on wins in the second race on Sunday. Go Pink Racing’s Jodie Fieldhouse was equally as impressive in the Standard class, taking a double podium with third and second.

The Pirelli Moto Superstock 600 class saw another winner’s trophy go the way of an R&G-protected rider as rookie rider Liam Delves took victory on the Via Moto Racing Kawasaki.

R&G Rookies Trophy

Once again, the 2019 R&G Rookies’ Trophy sees the top two rookies in each Championship class at the end of the season be put forward to a panel of judges, who’ll then pick the top three overall to receive a host of prizes from R&G, Pirelli and LS2 crash helmets.
