R&G 2018 teams…The Road Racing heroes!
As we continue our countdown of the riders and teams we’re supporting for the 2018 season, this week we’re shifting our attention to those who’ll be tackling the three International Road Races; North West 200, Isle of Man TT and the Ulster Grand Prix.
Joining James Hillier (whom we mentioned last week), riding a fleet of Kawasakis, will be the Silicone Engineering Racing squad, who are returning with Dean Harrison to compete on a ZX-10RR in the Superbike and Superstock classes and a ZX-6R in Supersport. Dean had an incredible year in 2017, securing several podiums at the TT before going on to take an emphatic win at the Ulster Grand Prix, where he set a new outright lap record of 134.614 mph to become the fastest Road Racer in the World! Remaining with the same team and bikes for 2018 will certainly stand him in good stead as he looks to add even more silverware this season. Alongside Dean sporting our Aero Knee Sliders, all three machines will feature R&G Aero Crash Protectors, Tank Sliders, Race Series Engine Case Covers, Cotton Reels, Pure Titanium Radiator Guards, Toe Guards, Exhaust Hangers, Lockstop Savers. We’ve even worked with Dean to enhance some of our products which we’ll use in future production!
Another rider to watch will be Martin Jessopp, who had an equally impressive 2017 season with a win at the North West 200 followed up with a podium finish at the TT, before narrowly missing out on a podium at the Macau Grand Prix. Alongside competing in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, Jessopp will be back on a Roads assault with his Riders Motorcycle BMWs, competing in the Superbike and Superstock races, as well as riding a Triumph in the Supersport class and a Kawasaki in Supertwin. All of Jessopp’s machines will feature our Race Series Engine Case Covers, Toe Guards, Cotton Reels and Pure Titanium Radiator Guards, as well as using a range of R&G-distributed WD-40 Motorcycle Specialist Products!
Elsewhere in the paddock, we’ll be supporting TT newcomer Mike Norbury by protecting his BMW 
S1000RR and Kawasaki ZX-6R with our Race Series Engine Case Covers, Pure Titanium Radiator Guards, Crash Protectors, Cotton Reels and Tank Sliders. The University of Nottingham TT Zero bike will also be protected by our Aero Crash Protectors, Moulded Lever Guards, Racing Footpegs, Bar End Sliders and Cotton Reels.
We’re not stopping at two wheels either, as the Brian Grays Powerbiking Sidecar outfits will be using our Radiator Guards alongside R&G-distributed BMC Air Filters!
