R&G makes Moto3 debut with Booth-Amos wildcard!
R&G crash protection is making its Grand Prix debut at Silverstone this August when City Lifting RS Racing’s Tom Booth-Amos makes a wildcard appearance in the Moto 3 race.
Having been a runaway force in this year’s Hel Performance British Motostar Championship, winning eight out of eleven races, Tom Booth-Amos will be heading to Silverstone ready to face the world’s best riders.
Running R&G protection in the British Championship, the City Lifting RS Racing KTM will feature a range of the company's products when it lines up on the grid ahead of the British Grand Prix. Tom will also be featuring R&G logos on his crash helmet.
With R&G already a prominent feature in race paddocks around the world, including the MCE British Superbike Championship, FIM Endurance World Championship, Isle of Man TT, MotoAmerica and the Australia Superbike Championship, this will be the first time R&G feature on the biggest platform in racing.
Speaking ahead of his Grand Prix debut, Tom Booth-Amos said “It really is a dream come true! I’ve always wanted to be in MotoGP so to be entering the British Grand Prix is incredible. It’s going to be the hardest race of my life, but my goal is to be in the top 15 so if I can do that I’ll be happier than ever!
I can’t thank R&G enough for their support, without them I don’t think we would be entering. Their products have been fantastic too, saving us valuable time (and money!) already this year, which is vital when you’re looking to maximise your track time."
R&G UK Sales Manager Alan Garrett added, “Everyone at R&G is very excited to be making our Grand Prix debut this August. Tom has impressed everyone this year with his sheer speed – winning every race he’s finished – so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do when he goes up against the best riders in the world.”
